The Swedish winger of Barcelona, Roony Bardghji, may have suffered a serious knee injury during training. This was reported by the Spanish publication "Sport".
The 20-year-old footballer fell during training without colliding with another player. He could not continue training due to severe pain.
According to preliminary information, Bardghji may have injured one of the knee ligaments, specifically the anterior cruciate ligament. However, it has not yet been officially confirmed that this ligament is torn.
The exact type and severity of the injury will be known after medical examinations. If a torn anterior cruciate ligament is confirmed, Bardghji could be sidelined from football for several months. According to some reports, his recovery may take up to 10 months.
This is not the first serious knee injury for the Swedish footballer. In May 2024, while playing for Copenhagen, he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and was sidelined for almost a year.
Roony Bardghji moved from Copenhagen to Barcelona in July 2025. The Catalan club signed a contract with the player until 2029.
