In Namangan city, medicines worth more than 577 million soums that lacked proper documents and whose quality was not guaranteed were found. This was reported by the State Security Service.
According to the report, an operational measure was conducted in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, and the Customs Committee in the area of protecting public health.
During the measure, one of the residences in Namangan city was inspected in the presence of witnesses. There, medicines stored in violation of sanitary rules by a citizen born in 1996 for the purpose of future sale were found.
In particular, a total of 13,184 units of 56 types of medicines that lacked proper documents and whose quality was not guaranteed were seized as material evidence. Among them are preparations such as "Cefotaxime", "Bifidumbacterin", "Atropine", "Tidomet Forte".
It was found that the medicines stored in the "hidden warehouse" in the residence had been brought from the territory of a neighboring republic through roundabout routes.
According to the assessment conclusion, the total value of the confiscated medicines amounted to 577 million 381 thousand soums.
During the operational measures, the actual owner of the prohibited products was also detained.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this person under Article 186³, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
Let us recall that in 2024 as well, warehouses storing medicines and medical products without proper documents, with a total value of 1.2 billion soums, were found in Namangan region.
