By the decision, an addendum was made to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On additional measures to improve the material living conditions of teachers and students".
According to it, the remaining portion of the set of educational supplies distributed in accordance with the number of students admitted to the 1st grade of general secondary schools in the current academic year will be taken into account when implementing state procurements for the next academic year.
At the same time, educational supplies whose shelf life expires before the next academic year will be allocated by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education to the compulsory school preparation groups of state preschool educational organizations for free use.
For reference, in 2026, more than 795,000 children are expected to be admitted to the 1st grade in Uzbekistan. They will be given a set of 12 types of educational supplies as a "President's gift".
The set includes a school bag, 12 notebooks, a pen, 2 simple pencils, a set of colored pencils, colored paper, plasticine, a drawing notebook, 2 erasers, colored watercolor paints, glue, and a pencil case.
