Nearly 14 kilograms of "opium" were confiscated.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these individuals, and investigative actions are being carried out.

Within the framework of combating the illegal circulation of narcotic substances, the State Security Service conducted operational measures in Sardoba and Jizzakh regions. As a result, nearly 14 kilograms of "opium" substance was confiscated.

During the operational measures, the temporary residence in Syrdarya district of a person living in Tashkent, born in 1985, previously convicted, was inspected in the presence of witnesses.

There, it was found that there was a citizen of Tajikistan born in 1983, as well as another person living in Kashkadarya region, born in 1962, previously convicted for a crime related to the sale of narcotic substances.

During the inquiry, it was established that these three persons had entered into a criminal conspiracy to take narcotic substances left by drug couriers from neighboring Tajikistan at a hidden place in the Yangiobod district of Jizzakh region, and to obtain large income by selling and distributing them.

After that, the operational measure was continued, and from the hidden place a total weight of 13 kilograms 653 grams of "opium" substance was seized and formalized in procedural order.
