Today, on August 26, a ceremony of presenting state awards is taking place with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence.
At the event, the head of state sincerely congratulated those gathered on the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
“35 years is a very short period for history. But it would not be an exaggeration to say that the years behind us, in terms of their scale, achievements and results, have been a period worthy of a century,” — said the President.
The head of state noted that the true author of today's changes is the hardworking and noble people.
According to him, the value of independence is manifested in the labor of farmers and peasants creating prosperity in villages, teachers and mentors giving education and upbringing to children, and doctors safeguarding human lives.
Also, Shavkat Mirziyoyev specifically dwelt on the contribution to the country's development of scientists bringing new ideas and discoveries to the progress of science, industrialists and entrepreneurs building modern enterprises, and builders and architects beautifying cities and villages.
At the ceremony of presenting state awards, devoted compatriots who work effectively in various fields and make a worthy contribution to the country's development are being recognized.
