U.S. President Donald Trump announced that negotiations on a peace agreement involving Iran and a number of Middle Eastern states have entered the final stage.
According to him, the agreement, which aims to halt conflicts that have lasted several months, is intended to ease the situation that has affected the stability of global shipping routes, energy markets, and the regional economy.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said he had spoken with leaders of countries such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and emphasized that the agreement is “essentially ready.”
It is reported that it is currently under discussion whether the agreement will include specific restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, missile capabilities, or regional influence.
Trump also indicated that the final provisions of the document could be announced soon.
Reports note that the agreement may also cover the restoration of shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
