In Surkhandarya, detention as a precautionary measure has been applied to a man who harassed an underage girl. This was reported by the Press Service of the Children's Ombudsman here.
It is noted that on June 3, 2024, B.Sh. (male), born in 1992, took advantage of the absence of anyone at home and performed indecent acts on Sh.M.'s daughter D.A., born in 2014, thereby threatening her sexual inviolability.
Sh.M. appealed to the authorities, stating that her neighbor B.Sh. had threatened to kill her underage daughter if she told anyone about the incident. She mentioned that B.Sh. had entered the woman's house and the actions were recorded on video by her daughter. She reported the incident to the investigative authorities, but complained that appropriate measures were not being taken to protect her daughter's rights.
Following a request sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the Children's Ombudsman, the Investigation Department of the Surkhandarya Regional Department of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case against B.Sh. on July 7 of the current year, under Part 2, Paragraph "v" of Article 129 of the Criminal Code (Committing indecent - corrupt actions against a person under sixteen years of age).
On July 26, in relation to the criminal case, detention as a precautionary measure was applied to the accused B.Sh. Currently, the preliminary investigation has been completed, and the materials of the criminal case have been sent to the appropriate court.
