The Agency for Fighting Corruption has analyzed the publication of open data in all districts and cities of the Samarkand region. This was reported by the Press Service of the agency.

The activities of the Jombay and Pastdargom district administrations, as well as the Samarkand city administration, have been examined on-site.

Based on the list of information that should be made public as open data, district administrations are obliged to periodically publish 12 types of information.

According to the results of the study, it was discovered that none of the 36 obligations required to be announced by the above-mentioned 3 administrations were fulfilled, and the designated information was not made public.

Consequently, two proposals were submitted to address the deficiencies and consider the accountability of responsible employees who committed violations in the audited administrations, and one official was held administratively responsible.

During the investigation, the deficiencies identified in the activities of the Jombay district and Samarkand city administrations were addressed.

Additionally, it was found that the official websites of Kattaqurghon city, Okdarya, Samarkand, Tayloq, Qushrabot district administrations were not functioning, Urgut district administration had only disclosed 3 types of information, and the district administrations of Bulungur, Ishtikhon, Nurobod, Payariq, Pakhtachi had not published any open data at all.

The Narpay district administration's website does not have an open data page at all.

A proposal has been submitted to the regional administration to address the shortcomings in ensuring transparency.
