A 41-year-old woman was arrested while trying to sell her daughter for $25,000.

A woman who tried to sell her 13-year-old daughter was arrested in Samarkand. Aziz Obidov reported this.

It appears that the 41-year-old woman, originally from Kashkadarya, was caught in a restaurant after receiving 25,000 dollars for her 13-year-old daughter.

According to the woman, she had no place to live. Then, she was offered a house in exchange for her daughter and she agreed to it.

As a result, the woman was arrested by the relevant authorities after receiving the money for the house worth 25,000 dollars.

According to the court ruling, the woman has been sentenced to 5 years and 2 months of imprisonment under Article 135 of the Criminal Code (committing a crime of human trafficking against a person under eighteen).

Moreover, it was reported that the woman’s children were taken into state custody.
