In 2024, Uzbekistan's youth ranked 1st in Central Asia in terms of entering the top-500 universities. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during a meeting with the youth today, on June 30th.
The state leader sincerely congratulated all the youth of Uzbekistan on the auspicious occasion of Youth Day.
“In recent years, as our economy has been growing rapidly and our opportunities in all areas have been expanding, there is no doubt that you, the youth, have played a worthy role.
Seeing our young men, full of strength and determination in every action, and our unmatched girls in knowledge and manners, intelligence, and wit, any nation, any state would envy us.
Why do the world's largest states, the most prestigious companies trust us today? Why are they investing billions of dollars?
Of course, this is no coincidence. Because our partners see the achievements of our youth in science, education, IT, culture, arts, and sports, and assess our potential, convincing themselves that the foundation for our tomorrow is strong,” said the President.
From the very first days of the reforms, the President noted that the chain of “education – upbringing – innovation” was initiated, and these efforts are yielding tangible results today. For example, last year the country's youth ranked 1st in Central Asia in entering the top-500 universities. Educated youth entered the top-5 universities for the first time, achieving a historic result.
Today, 30 young individuals are studying at the top-10 universities in the world, 500 are in the top-100, and 1,500 are in prestigious universities ranked within the top-300.
