The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation headed by Nirmala Sitharaman, the Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of the Republic of India, within the framework of the ninth meeting of the Board of Governors of the AIIB. About this, the President's press service reported. 

At the beginning of the meeting, Nirmala Sitharaman conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to our country's leader.

The issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and India and developing multifaceted cooperation in accordance with the high-level agreements were discussed.

The importance of meticulously preparing for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission in November this year and adopting the Industrial Cooperation Program within its framework was noted.

Special attention was paid to implementing projects in the fields of energy, petrochemicals, digitization, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and to the development of transport routes.
