The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on September 26, received a delegation led by Chen Wenqing, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission. The President's press service reported this. 

The head of the delegation, Chen Wenqing, brought greetings and best wishes from Xi Jinping, the President of the People's Republic of China, to the leader of our state.

The issues of developing and strengthening friendship and strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and China under the decisions accepted at the highest level in all conditions were discussed.

Special attention was paid to expanding practical cooperation and streamlining efforts in combating traditional and new threats that pose a danger to security, such as terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, cybercrime, and drug trafficking.

The results of the first meeting of the Uzbekistan-China cooperation mechanism in the sphere of law enforcement and security, which took place these days, were highly evaluated.

Furthermore, there was an exchange of views on urgent issues on the regional agenda.
