"The White House is negotiating with Iran to respond to a significant missile attack on Israeli territory," said US President Joe Biden, as reported by zamon.uz.

According to Biden, his team was in contact with Israeli counterparts during the Iranian attack. Previously, the spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari, had stated that most of the Iranian missiles were intercepted by Israel, the US, and other unnamed allied countries.

Meanwhile, Axios reports, citing Israeli officials, that Tel Aviv might initiate a "significant retaliatory strike" on Iranian oil production facilities and other strategic targets within a few days.

"In turn, Tehran has called on the US not to get involved in the conflict," Tasnim agency reports, citing Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on the Middle East in New York today.
