In August of this year, a marriage in the Fergana region was dissolved shortly after due to disagreements. The bride demanded the return of her dowry and filed a lawsuit. This was reported by the MIB here.

Through the MIB, the bride managed to retrieve belongings worth approximately 47 million UZS, including around 60 items, from her husband. According to reports, the couple lived together for only 7 days after their wedding.

When the groom's parents spoke with the bride, she stated she would no longer live with the groom. After reconciliation attempts failed, the bride went to retrieve her dowry, but the groom's side refused to return it.

"The groom's parents said that the bride had left the house without any reason, they had spent 15,000 dollars on the wedding, and insisted that the bride’s side should cover this expense, refusing to return the dowry voluntarily," the report said.
