The European Union intends to allocate 18 billion euros to Ukraine as a loan.

German Finance Minister Christian Lindner made this known.

"We are on the verge of success in supporting Ukraine," he said.

In June, the G7 countries confirmed their readiness to provide Ukraine with a loan of 46 billion euros by the end of 2024, using the proceeds from Russian assets frozen in Western countries as collateral.
