In an incident that occurred in the Kosonsoy district of the Namangan region, a traffic police officer stopped a "Zhiguli" car, and when he asked the driver for his documents, the driver provided a fake driving license, so the officer drafted an administrative protocol and moved the vehicle to the penalty area.
The citizen offered $150 as a bribe in exchange for not sending the collected documents regarding the fake driving license to the investigative authorities and for releasing his car from the penalty area.
Despite several warnings from the officer about the illegality of his actions and the criminal liability they incurred, the citizen repeatedly offered a bribe.
The traffic police officer addressed a report to the head of the Personal Safety Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Namangan region, and during a rapid operation, the citizen was caught providing the inspector with a bribe of $100 and 600 thousand Uzbek sums at the moment of the bribe, with material evidence.
