President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, where he became acquainted with construction activities. The President's press service reported this

The driving force of this scenic mountainous area is, of course, tourism. In recent years, the infrastructure has been improved, creating opportunities for enjoyable leisure throughout all seasons. Recreational, health, skiing, travel, and general dining complexes have been established. Old sanatoriums and children's camps have been renovated.

In particular, five years ago, the district had 26 facilities with a total of 2,240 beds, whereas during this period, over 2 trillion soms of investment have been brought into the sector, launching 59 major tourism facilities with more than 13,000 beds. The main roads have been repaired, and additional roads have been built.

As a result, tourism has rapidly developed, with visitor numbers increasing twelvefold. For example, five years ago, Bostanlyk received 850,000 tourists annually, while this year, in just 11 months, it welcomed 12 million visitors.

This pace continues steadily. The head of our state became acquainted with such projects.

On the banks of the Chirchik river, the "Chorvoq Gate" tourist complex is being built. The complex, covering nearly 25 hectares, will have 16 multi-storey buildings, 3 hotels, 2 supermarkets, more than 60 retail and service outlets, cafes and restaurants, a bank office, a water park, a musical fountain, and a parking lot. Solar panels will be installed on top of the buildings. A glass bridge for walking will be built over the river.

The complex will have the capacity to serve more than 5,000 people per day. Together with seasonal jobs, 2,500 employment opportunities will be created.

Our President gave instructions to expand the range of services, actively develop tourism, and plan similar complexes in other districts. The importance of paying special attention to ecology and increasing greenery in the region was emphasized.
