The initiative of the President of Uzbekistan on "100 percent cure of hepatitis C disease" is being implemented, and on December 14, the "Uzbekistan Airways airline resumed the process of delivering the "Sofosbuvir-400mg" drug against hepatitis C from Sharm el-Sheikh to Tashkent, which was allocated as humanitarian aid by the Egyptian government to our country, reports the "Dunyo" IA.
This eighth batch of aid includes a total of 30 boxes containing 7200 doses of "Sofosbuvir-400mg medications.
The medications will be distributed to patients in need by the Institute of Virology under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
According to the news from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, an agreement has been reached on the gratuitous grant aid by the Egyptian government of a total of 800 thousand doses (nearly 40 tons) of "Daclatasvir" and "Sofosbuvir" against hepatitis C, and "Entecavir" against hepatitis B, with a total value of 4.2 million US dollars to Uzbekistan.
So far, these medications weighing 13.4 tons and with a total value of 1,461 million dollars have been sent to our country in stages.
