Avazjon Karimov became the Deputy Minister of Sports.

He/she has previously been active in the position of a ministerial advisor.

In accordance with the relevant decision of the President, Avazjon Kudratillayevich Karimov has been appointed deputy minister of sports. The press service of the ministry  reported. 

Avazjon Karimov was born in 1983 in Tashkent city. He  graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 2005, the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education in 2016, and the Uzbekistan State University of Physical Education and  Sports in 2021.

He began his professional career in 2006 as the deputy head of the National Karate Federation and has since worked in various leadership positions.

Between 2019−2020, he was the director of the Republican College of Olympic Reserves, between 2020−2021, he served as the deputy minister of physical culture and  sports, between 2021−2022, he was the deputy minister of tourism and  sports, and between 2022−2023, he was an advisor to the minister for the development of sports, from 2023 — 2024, he served as an advisor to the minister of youth policy and  sports.

Before his appointment, Karimov was acting as an advisor to the minister of sports.
