In the state of California, USA, a plane crash into a commercial building resulted in two fatalities and 18 injuries, according to BBC News reported.
Ten people were taken to the hospital with bodily injuries. The remaining 8 people were released after receiving assistance. According to Federal Aviation data, a single-engine Van’s RV-10 plane was involved in the crash. Officials have not provided additional information about how the accident occurred. It is unknown whether the two deceased were workers or passengers on the plane.
The police are evacuating people from buildings in the area and asking to stay away from the crash site.
Congressman Lou Correa said the building the plane crashed into was a furniture manufacturing business. He noted that most of the injured were factory workers. The crash also resulted in a fire, which was extinguished by firefighters.
This is the second plane to crash in the area in the last two months. On November 25, another plane crashed about a block away from the site of the first incident, falling into a tree. No serious injuries were reported in this crash.
This incident marks the fifth dangerous event involving an airplane in the last ten days.
