Today, the Tashkent City Court's Criminal Cases Judicial Panel's appellate instance reviewed the appeals filed by G. Dustov's lawyers against the decision of the first instance court, under the chairmanship of Judge F. Ergashev, it was reported.

According to the Tashkent city courts, the appellate court confirmed G. Dustov had committed petty hooliganism, and the decision of the first instance court to qualify his actions correctly was upheld.

Additionally, the court disagreed with the lawyers' arguments about not explaining G. Dustov's right to reconciliation because he had been administratively liable for the same type of violation within a year

"In accordance with the resolution of the Tashkent City Court's Criminal Cases Judicial Panel appellate instance on January 3, 2025, the decision made by the Bektemir district court against G. Dustov was amended, considering the offender's remorse, health, and the local community's plea for leniency, reducing his administrative detention sentence from 15 days to 8 days

As of today, G. Dustov has fully served his sentence, and thus he was released from administrative detention in the courtroom.

The lawyers' appeal complaints were partially satisfied.

"The parties, according to the law and within the prescribed period, have the right to file a cassation appeal against the decision of the Tashkent City Court's appellate instance to the Supreme Court's Criminal Cases Judicial Panel, and the prosecutor has the right to bring a protest," the report states.
