The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Andrey Belousov, who was visiting our country, on January 22. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Russian defense department conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the leader of Uzbekistan.
The issues of further development and strengthening of the wide-ranging strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Russia were discussed, particularly in view of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan in May 2024.
It was noted that it is important to expand cooperation between the defense departments of the two countries in accordance with the adopted programmatic and planning documents.
