Uzbekistan and Japan developed the Japan Career Portal for labor migration. The Migration Agency  reported.

On January 21, the ceremony to launch the online platform was held with the participation of the agency's director Behzod Musaev and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) President Akihiko Tanaka.

It is noted that the platform is JICA’s first project in this direction in Central Asia, serving to enhance human capital development through employment in Japan's industrial sector.

"I hope that this portal, launched in Uzbekistan as one of the first among Central Asian countries, will effectively assist Uzbek youth and professionals who wish to study, work, and improve their skills in Japan," — said JICA President Akihiko Tanaka.

He also emphasized the high demand for labor in the agriculture and elder care sectors in the country. Currently, more than 6,000 Uzbeks are temporarily working in the country.

According to the agency,  Japancareer.uz  is considered a universal platform providing reliable information about labor migration, education, and living opportunities in Japan to Uzbeks. It is available in Uzbek, Russian, and Japanese languages.

Furthermore, it continuously provides comprehensive information about the potential and professional qualities of Uzbek specialists to Japanese employers.

The meeting also discussed expanding the range of sectors for Uzbekistan within Japan's "Specified Skilled Worker" program, increasing the number of Japanese language and skill courses, and involving the country's major employers and recruiting companies in cooperation.

Currently, the portal's mobile application for Android can be downloaded via the link. Also, queries are accepted through the Telegram chatbot.
