Last night in the Oqqo'rg'on district, a 37-year-old man was detained in a procedural manner by the law enforcement agencies for beating his wife, it was reported that a criminal case had been initiated regarding the incident, and that the woman was receiving medical treatment.
According to the Press Service of the Regional Internal Affairs Department, the 23-year-old woman died in the hospital today despite the medical treatments provided.
The Tashkent Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs expresses its deep condolences and sympathy to the relatives of the deceased.
Furthermore, due to the death of the victim, the criminal case initiated has been reclassified under Article 126(1) part 8 clause "g" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the investigation is ongoing.
