The President of Uzbekistan has arrived in Malaysia.

The main events of the visit program will take place tomorrow, February 5th.

On the evening of February 4th, upon the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in the country for an official visit.

At the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the leader of our state was welcomed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia, Johari bin Abdul, Minister of Education Zambri Abdul Kadir, and other official persons.

In honor of the visit of the Uzbek leader, an honorary guard was drawn up, and the national flags of both countries were raised.

Our President conducted a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Malaysia at the airport. Discussions were held regarding the agenda of the forthcoming high-level meetings.

Special attention was paid to continuing active cooperation and exchanges within the framework of parliaments, organizing mutual visits and friendship group activities, establishing practical cooperation in legislative matters, and supporting the implementation of important investment, infrastructure, social, and cultural-humanitarian programs.

The main events of the visit are scheduled for tomorrow, February 5th.

The President of Uzbekistan and the Prime Minister of Malaysia will hold high-level talks and participate in the Uzbekistan-Malaysia business forum. The summit is expected to conclude with the signing of a number of intergovernmental and interagency documents.
