The deputies of the “A Just Russia – For Truth” faction in the State Duma of Russia are working on a bill to introduce a state duty on migrant remittances. This was announced by the party leader Sergey Mironov.
"It is necessary to introduce a state duty on migrant money transfers... If we introduce a tax of 3%, just the transfers from two countries - Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan - would bring more than 45 billion rubles to the treasury. Can it really be that we don't need this amount of money?! We will prepare the legislative initiative and present it to the State Duma,” writes the deputy on his Telegram channel page.
