The Supreme Court annulled the agreement between the Navoi Region Administration and the “Berzhelevost” Private Manufacturing Enterprise (PME) sanitation company. The Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency reported this.
It was mentioned that on January 18, 2019, the Navoi Region Administration and the sanitation company had signed the second agreement and a first additional agreement on a public-private partnership basis regarding the provision of household waste removal services.
Based on the court decision, this agreement and additional agreement were annulled due to the company’s unsatisfactory service to its subscribers. In other words, the company cannot provide waste removal services in the city of Navoi and the Karmyna district under the second agreement, and in the Zarafshan district territory under the first additional agreement.
Furthermore, at present, a lawsuit filed to annul the fourteenth agreement between the Navoi Region Administration, the Navoi Ecology Department, and the “Berzhelevost” PME, signed on September 10, 2021, regarding the provision of household waste removal services in the Tomdi, Kiziltepa, and Uchkuduk districts, is being considered by the appellate court.
"At this point, we would like to remind other sanitation companies of their responsibility to provide appropriately high-quality service, or else agreements could be annulled in accordance with the established legal procedure!
