The Central Bank's Banking Supervision Committee considered 44 issues and made appropriate decisions during its meetings in January 2025 (9 times). This was reported by the CB press service.
Specifically, concerning the financial condition of credit institutions, 8 issues – compliance with the instructions and prudential standards of the Central Bank, audits conducted in commercial banks, microfinance organizations, and payment institutions, as well as adherence to the requirements of the “Law on Applications of Individuals and Legal Entities” were also discussed.
The studies conducted by the Central Bank revealed deficiencies, including a payment system operator was warned about the application of measures and sanctions for not complying with the Central Bank's instructions and legal requirements.
Moreover, for the violations identified during the existing legislation, studies and inspection audits conducted by the Central Bank, penalty sanctions were applied to 10 banks.
