In 2024, approximately 461,500 Uzbekistanis performed Umrah. This was reported by the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Doctor Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabi'a, who is currently in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that in terms of the number of Umrah pilgrims, Uzbekistan ranked 10th in the world. Although this number has decreased by 10% compared to 2023, Uzbekistan has recorded the first place in Central Asia in terms of the number of Umrah pilgrims. The number of Uzbek Umrah pilgrims constitutes 1.4% of the Muslims living in the country.
"The above figures reflect the deep connection of the Uzbek people with the Two Holy Mosques. This in turn shows the efforts and facilities provided by the Kingdom's government to ensure a continuous and complete Umrah experience," said the Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom.
