The decree of the President on "Measures to bring the national unity and strengthening the relations with compatriots abroad to a new level" has been adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported about this.
According to the decree, harmonizing interethnic relations, strengthening friendship, mutual solidarity, tolerance, and unity in society, thereby forming a single civic identity, has been determined as one of the priority tasks in the society for national unity and strengthening relations with compatriots abroad.
Based on the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendship Relations with Foreign Countries, the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Issues of Compatriots Abroad of Uzbekistan will be established.
The Committee is considered an authorized executive body of the republic that implements the state policy in the field of interethnic relations and issues of compatriots abroad, coordinating the activities in this direction of state bodies and organizations.
Every year, under the slogan "Uzbekistan is our unique Homeland!" a conference is organized to recognize the equality and solidarity among all nationalities and ethnic groups in our country, acknowledging their contribution to the development of the New Uzbekistan.
Together with the "Vatandoshlar" public fund, the Committee organizes the "Uz Global Think" forum for compatriots abroad every year.
