On March 26, Shahrisabz Airport started to receive regular passenger flights again after a two-week break resumed.
According to the information service of Uzbekistan Airports, the air service was inaugurated by Silk Avia with flight US721. The plane landed at Shahrisabz airport at 11:17 local time.
On March 13, Shahrisabz Airport temporarily suspended its operations due to capital repair works being conducted on the runway.
After long-term use, the surface of the runway has been strengthened and replaced with new asphalt. The repair of the taxiway will also be completed soon.
