In Tashkent, a nanny was convicted for stealing money from the homeowner and inflicting various injuries on a baby, taking advantage of the mother's absence. darakchi.uz examined the court documents.
As noted, from 2022 to October 2024, the convicted woman worked and lived in the house of her acquaintance R.M., in the Chilonzor area of Uchtepa district, Tashkent city, caring for R.M.'s children. She consistently took advantage of the homeowner being distracted when bringing home sales money, stealing 1 million, 2 million sums each time, totaling 118 million sums in cash for her personal needs.
Additionally, the nanny continued her criminal actions by beating R.M.'s 3-year-old daughter G.O., hitting her in various parts of the body and causing physical injuries. The forensic medical examination identified “bruises on the right lower jaw area, the anterior surface of the right upper thigh, and the anterior surface of the left upper thigh” of the young girl.
At the trial, the accused partially admitted her guilt, stating that she had stolen certain amounts of money earned by R.M. through trade, and due to the child crying and causing her distress, she repeatedly hit her on the head, stomach, body, and leg areas with her hand, and also hit her on the head with a phone and a remote control several times.
The defendant nanny was found guilty under the Criminal Code's Article 169, Part 3 "b" (Theft) and Article 110, Part 2 "a" (Torture), and was sentenced to 5 years and 1 month of imprisonment. The sentence is to be served in a general regime colony.
