The President's decree on celebrating the blessed Eid al-Fitr has been adopted. The President's press service reported this.
New large-scale reforms carried out in New Uzbekistan under the noble idea of "For human dignity, for human happiness" are raising our people's welfare to a new level and strengthening peace, tranquility, friendship, and solidarity in our multiethnic society.
All this plays an important role in celebrating the sacred month of Ramadan in our country in a peaceful, prosperous, and majestic atmosphere, embodying generosity, charity, and gratitude. This is confirmed by the even more evident display of high human virtues such as philanthropy, mutual respect and love, and attention and care for the less privileged and needy individuals and families among our people these days.
On this great holiday - the holy Eid al-Fitr, I decide to continue these benevolent acts in every way worthy, to celebrate and widely promote the noble values and traditions embodied in its essence: I decide:
1. The information from the Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan stating that the first day of Eid al-Fitr this year falls on March 30 - Sunday, be acknowledged, and the Eid al-Fitr holiday be widely celebrated across our country on March 30, 2025.
2. In accordance with Article 208 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
(a) Since the first day of Eid al-Fitr in 2025, being a non-working holiday, falls on Sunday - a day off, this day off will be moved to Monday, March 31;
(b) It is acknowledged that days off due to non-working holidays, due to production-technical and organizational conditions (continuous operations, daily services to the population, shift work, and others), cannot be postponed.
3. The Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional administrations, and Tashkent city administration, together with the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Uzbekistan Community Associations, the National Agency for Social Protection, and other partner organizations, shall implement appropriate measures to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in line with our national traditions and customs in the regions.
The Tourism Committee, together with the Ministry of Transport, shall create favorable conditions and opportunities for organizing visits to revered pilgrimage sites and historical places for our compatriots during the days of Eid al-Fitr.
4. The National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan, and other mass media are recommended to widely cover the events related to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
5. The execution of this decision shall be supervised by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A.N. Aripov, and the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, R.Q. Davletov.
