It has been discovered that a group of workers at the “Kokand oil and fat” joint-stock company in the Fergana region have not been paid for 6 months. This was reported by the Ombudsman of the Supreme Assembly for Human Rights.

It is noted that the workers have not been paid their wages for 6 months since September 2024. In response to this situation, the management of the company has told the employees “there is no salary and there won’t be any in the coming months, work if you want, if not, then don’t!”

As reported, this complaint was taken under the control of the Ombudsman and has been examined on-site by his regional representative in the Fergana region.

According to the results of the investigation, appropriate measures were introduced by the Ombudsman. As a result, the wages of 71 workers totaling nearly 830 million Uzbekistani Som have been fully recovered.
