“Measures for organizing and conducting the “Teacher of the Year” and “Professional Skills Leader” competitions among general secondary education sector employees” Government decree (No. 264, dated April 28, 2025) was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.
According to the decision, from 2026, the following competitions will be held once every 2 years:
“Teacher of the Year” competition among pedagogical staff of general secondary education institutions within the system of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education;
- “Professional Skills Leader” competition among directors of pedagogical skill centers.
The decision approved the following regulations:
▪️Regulations on the procedure for conducting the “Teacher of the Year” competition;
▪️Regulations on the procedure for conducting the “Professional Skills Leader” competition.
Winners of the competitions will be awarded a certificate with a QR code according to the results.
Based on the certificate, the winners will be awarded a cash prize equal to 1,400 times the minimum wage (525 million).
