In most parts of Uzbekistan, during the first ten days of May, mainly very warm and dry weather is expected. During the day, temperatures will rise to 28-30 degrees Celsius on May 1-2, and increase to 34-37 degrees Celsius from May 3-7.
On May 1-2, in some areas of the Fergana Valley provinces, short-term thunderstorms are expected, and it will rain in the foothill and mountainous areas of the republic, with heavy rains possible in some places, and lightning could be observed.
In the remaining regions of the republic, no precipitation is expected from May 1-7. Towards the end of the first ten days, the temperature background will slightly decrease, with the possibility of short-term rainfall and thunderstorms in some areas.
Subsequently, until the end of May, temperatures at night will change from 17-22 degrees to 10-15 degrees Celsius, and during the day from 32-37 degrees to 25-30 degrees Celsius.
During certain days of the second and third ten-day periods across the republic, short-term thunderstorms are expected in some areas, and localized rain showers with hail characteristics are possible. Even within a single city, the May rains can vary greatly, with heavy rainfall in one part and almost unnoticeable in another part of the city.
The average monthly temperature in May 2025 is expected to be around the climatic norm, and in some places, it may be 1-2 degrees higher.
