Information was provided to the head of state on measures to support low-income families, ensure employment for persons with disabilities, and expand the scope and types of social services here.
In our country, people in need receive special attention and are supported both materially and spiritually. Assistance in areas such as labor, education, and healthcare is being provided to such families based on the “From Poverty to Prosperity” program.
At the same time, this is a very wide and continuous process that requires constant improvement. In particular, it is proposed to support low-income families according to their socio-economic status in three categories.
More than 100 types of social services, aid, and privileges are provided to low-income families. The procedures for including them in the “Low-Income Families Registry” are determined at the level of legislative documents. Individual plans for lifting them out of poverty are approved, and targeted services and aid are provided. Factors limiting the employment of such people are eliminated, and conditions are created for them to earn a certain income.
Children from low-income families are exempted from paying for extended day groups at school, and those who perform excellently can enjoy holidays in camps for free. Female students excelling academically from low-income families receive a special scholarship worth twice the basic scholarship.
During the presentation, information was also provided on measures to ensure employment for persons with disabilities.
According to it, tax incentives are provided to light industry enterprises that employ persons with disabilities, including reducing the social tax rate for such employees and offering entrepreneurs subsidies of up to 500 million som from the State Fund for Social Protection.
Furthermore, the volume of goods and services purchased through the electronic commerce platform by persons with disabilities will be increased. Inclusive education groups will be organized in technical schools to teach trades and skills to them.
The “Step into Active Life” program will be introduced with the aim of expanding the coverage and types of social services for persons in need of care from others. Such individuals will be offered medical-social services like daytime mobility or home care, assistance with household chores, restoring lost physical activity, and preventing diseases.
The head of our state approved the proposals and gave instructions to systematically implement and monitor their execution.
