The leader of our state laid the foundation for the construction of the Al-Khwarizmi town in Urgench city in August 2022. There will be a university and a specialized school named after the great scientist.
At today's presentation, information was provided about the measures to organize these educational institutions and their main directions, reports the President's Press Service.
The university will have three faculties: Mathematics and Informatics, Aerospace Engineering Technology, and Artificial Intelligence. They will train specialists for sectors such as economy, information technologies, industry, security, energy, and ecology. Classes will be conducted in Uzbek and English, based on a credit-module system.
The educational processes will be organized in collaboration with prestigious higher education institutions from countries such as the United Arab Emirates, the People's Republic of China, the United Kingdom, based on the experience of the “New Uzbekistan” university.
Admissions are planned to start from the 2025-2026 academic year. The total student population is expected to be around 4-6 thousand.
A branch of the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi school in Tashkent will also be established in the town area. It will select graduates of the 4th grade. The final 2 years of education will be focused on introductory engineering preparation.
The leader of our state emphasized that the university territory should not only be an educational complex but also harmonize with the historical-scientific and tourism potential of Khorezm. A document regarding the establishment of these modern educational institutions was signed.
