On the night of May 5, Russia attacked the city with several Shahed kamikaze drones and two ballistic missiles. As a result of the attack, an important infrastructure facility in the city was destroyed, but no one was injured.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported missile strikes on Sum and Zaporizhzhia regions at night, as well as drones flying over Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Donetsk, and Mykolaiv regions.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 26 drones targeting the country were shot down overnight.
According to officials, 17 of them were destroyed over the Bryansk region, 5 over the Kaluga region, and 4 over the Moscow region. There were no casualties as a result of the attacks. Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports in Moscow have temporarily suspended operations.
