“The Government decree on the implementation of measures for the "Pure Hands" program aimed at expanding drinking water and sanitary-hygiene infrastructure in healthcare and educational institutions” (No. 297, dated 06.05.2025) was adopted. The Ministry of Justice reported this.

According to the decree, within the framework of the "Pure Hands" program, healthcare and educational institutions will be:

  • adequately supplied with sanitary-hygiene products;
  •  provided with improvements in drinking water supply and sanitary-hygiene facilities (toilets) infrastructure, which will be located within the buildings;
  • engaged in promotional activities to form and encourage adherence to personal hygiene habits among the population, including children.

 A targeted program for improving the sanitary-hygiene infrastructure of general secondary education institutions will be formulated using the state investment management geoportal data.

Furthermore, a system for assessing general secondary education institutions based on the international experience with the "Three Star Approach" methodology for water supply, sanitation, and hygiene will be established.
