At the "Weimar Triangle" ("Weimar+") meeting, held in an expanded format in London, the capital of England, participants called on Russia to immediately and unconditionally cease a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine.

In their opinion, this time will allow for "fair, complete, and stable" peace talks.

"Russia is not yet showing serious efforts to reach a compromise," the statement said.

In addition to Germany, France, and Poland, the "Weimar+" group includes the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain, as well as the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

The negotiations were represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Tsibiga.

The German government announced that it will increase aid to Ukraine by another 3 billion euros in 2025. These funds will be allocated in addition to the previously promised humanitarian aid in the amount of 40 million euros.

During the meeting in London, the main projects of the European Commission on strengthening the defense of Europe were also discussed. Among them are the SAFE (Security and Action) mechanism and the EDIP (European Defense Industry Program).
