After the end of the war, it will take 15 years for Palestine to return to normal life. This was announced in Baghdad by the Palestinian Minister of National Economy, Muhammad al-Amur.
It is reported that Muhammad Al-Amur spoke at a meeting of the Council on Economic and Social Issues of the League of Arab States (LSA) on the eve of the 34th summit of the Pan-Arab Organization.
"After the war with Israel ends, it will take us 15 years to return to normal life. Despite the current situation, the Palestinians are showing resilience. No matter how long the occupation continues, our people will not be defeated," Al-Amur said.
He added that, despite the current situation, the Palestinians are demonstrating resilience. No matter how long the invasion continues, the Palestinian people will not be defeated.
"G Gaza is being subjected to genocide. Thousands of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid are not being allowed into the sector by Israel. At the same time, the world is silently watching the massacres in Gaza. More than 1,000 Israeli checkpoints are located on the West Bank of the Jordan River, which is destroying the economy," said the Palestinian Minister of National Economy.
According to him, the unemployment rate in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has reached 51 percent.
For information, since March 2, 2025, humanitarian aid has not been delivered to the Gaza Strip, and by Israeli decision, all checkpoints remain closed.
On March 18, the Israeli army resumed military operations in the sector, delivering large-scale strikes, thereby violating the peace regime established in January of this year.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained this by the fact that Hamas rejected the proposals made during the negotiations by intermediaries and the special representative of the US President, Stephen Whitkoff, and emphasized that the goal of the operation in Gaza is the release of all hostages. Radical forces have placed the responsibility for the resumption of hostilities on Israel and the US.
