On May 19, in the territory of Yunusobod Dehqon market of Yunusobod district, Patrol-Post Service Inspector of Yunusobod district, Sergeant I. Ibragimov, stopped and was inspecting a passerby whose actions had aroused suspicion near the underground passageway. However, the citizen suddenly attacked the officer with a knife, inflicting wounds on the neck area.
The officer was promptly hospitalized, and his life was saved. Following rapid response measures, the suspect was detained and identified as H.A.T., born in 1963 in Jizzakh region, a resident of Pakhtakor district of Jizzakh region, who has been registered at a psychiatric clinic since 2005.
Currently, the Yunusobod district prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under article 25-97 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are being carried out. The suspect has been detained in accordance with procedural order.
