US President Donald Trump announced that he held a two-hour phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that the conversation took place in a positive atmosphere.
According to him, Russia and Ukraine will begin negotiations on an "immediate ceasefire and end of the war." Trump believes these terms are determined by agreement between the warring parties.
He also noted that the conversation with Putin was "excellent" and said that Russia wants to establish large trade relations with the US. Trump said he agreed with this idea.
"Ukraine can also benefit greatly from trade in the post-war recovery process," Trump said.
He added that he informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of some NATO countries about this.
