“On measures to implement the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the fight against childhood cancer in 2025–2030” Presidential decree (PQ-186-number, 19.05.2025) was adopted.
According to this, by July 1, 2025, a digitized patient pathway involving registration, diagnosis, treatment, dispensary observation, and referral processes of children affected by oncological and oncohematological diseases will be implemented in the “Electronic Health” information system.
This includes the ability to enroll in doctor's appointments remotely and conduct online consultations.
By the end of 2025, as part of the implementation of the Strategy deployment project, artificial intelligence technologies will be implemented.
A International Academic Hub on Childhood Cancer (Academic Hub) will be established at the Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Children's Oncology, Hematology and Immunology.
The Academic Hub is considered an educational and scientific institution and will be tasked with the following main responsibilities, including:
- implementing international educational programs in line with international certification and continuous medical education system scoring standards;
- analyzing and forecasting the epidemiological trends of childhood cancer incidence for strategic planning and development of preventive measures.
