A 67-year-old woman was detained in the Buvayda district of the Fergana region for growing 450 poppy plants in her garden. The regional Interior Ministry reported about this.
It was noted that during an operation conducted by the Buvayda district police officers, it was discovered that a woman born in 1958, residing in the Buvayda village, had been cultivating 450 poppy plants in her garden with the participation of unbiased witnesses.
It is reported that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 270 Part 1 of the Criminal Code (Cultivation of prohibited plants) concerning this situation.
