Applications are accepted through the "Insan" social services center, local social workers, and the 1140 phone number.
As mentioned, from May 1, 2025, a practice of compensating needy families for gas and electricity throughout Uzbekistan has been introduced. From now on, compensation will be paid monthly instead of just during the winter season (November–February).
Application submission for needy families started from June 1.
Compensations will be given to families belonging to the following categories:
Families listed in the Unified Register of Social Protection and the Register of Needy Families - where the monthly income per family member should be less than 669,000 soms.
Also, families not included in both registers, but with little property and a monthly income of less than 1 million soms per member, can also benefit from this support.
If a total of 313.6 billion soms was allocated for the heating season of 2024-2025 to cover general needy families, the system is now being expanded, and in 2025, a total of 1 trillion 330 billion soms is planned to be allocated for compensation.
