The Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, in cooperation with the officers of the State Security Service, conducted a special operation in the Yunusabad district.
During the special operation, previously convicted citizens H.U. and A.D. conspired together and agreed to sell metals (stamped with the "999.9" purity mark) that resembled cast gold – by giving a gold color to ordinary metal with a total weight of 2.06 kg – to citizens M.S. and R.L. for 70,000 US dollars.
They were caught with physical evidence at the time of receiving 35,000 US dollars from these funds.
On this matter, criminal cases have been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 227 (seizure, destruction, damage, or concealment of documents, stamps, seals, blanks, state number plates of motor vehicles and their trailers (semi-trailers)) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is currently being carried out.
