Today, on April 14, a letter from a Kazakh advisor addressed to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived. The press service of the head of state reported this.

The letter mentions the impressions of the leader of Kazakhstan about the city of Bukhara after his visit, as well as words on further deepening friendship between the two countries.

The full text of the letter is below

To the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Dear Shavkat Miromonovich!

I express my sincere gratitude to you for the exceptional hospitality and warmth shown during my working visit to the ancient city of Bukhara, a pearl not only of Central Asia but of the entire world civilization.

I was amazed by how Uzbekistan carefully preserves, enriches, and harmonizes its great past with modern needs. The beautiful appearance of Bukhara today is a vivid expression of the high effectiveness of your wise and constructive policy aimed at building a New Uzbekistan.

The visit itself, rich in well-considered events, was undoubtedly fruitful. In my view, the one-day discussions in Bukhara are in no way inferior to an official visit in terms of long-term political results.

Our meeting opened new horizons for further strengthening multifaceted relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and will serve to enrich interstate strategic cooperation with new substance.

Upon returning to Astana, I gave specific instructions for the implementation of the reached and confirmed agreements, as well as for taking into account the beneficial experience of your country in various fields. I attach particular importance to the joint "Clean Air" initiative.

I am fully confident that the quality execution of the tasks we have set will serve to bring Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan strategic partnership and alliance to new heights.

I express special gratitude for presenting archival materials of great cultural and historical significance for Kazakhstan. This act testifies to your generosity and warm attitude towards the Kazakh people, and your worthy recognition of the history of our fraternal countries.

Respected Shavkat Miromonovich! From the bottom of my heart, I wish you and your family health and happiness, and new successes in building a New Uzbekistan, which is an eternal friend, ally, and strategic partner of Kazakhstan.

With respect,

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
