An Uzbek citizen who entered Japan with a short-term visa and did not leave the country after the permitted period expired has been deported. This was reported by the press service of the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan in a statement

It is noted that the citizen entered Japan on a short-term visa. However, he remained in the country illegally after the visa period ended. He was later identified by migration authorities, arrested, and deported.

The embassy reminded that if cases of illegal stay or work in the country are detected, strict measures will be taken against violators. In particular, they may be arrested by the police, placed in a migration center, and deported to their home country.

It was also stated that the Japanese government will provide information about the violators to the government of Uzbekistan. Therefore, upon return to their homeland, deported individuals may face appropriate measures under current legislation.

The diplomatic mission urged citizens not to believe false promises that encourage illegal work or residence abroad.
